Minister of Oil and Minerals
I extend my deepest gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency the President and the members of the Presidential Leadership Council, as well as to His Excellency the Prime Minister, The Prime Minister, for the great confidence they have placed in us by appointing us as Minister of Oil and Minerals.
We fully recognize that assuming responsibility at this exceptional and critical stage is not a privilege but a burden—less an honor than a heavy national duty imposed by the complex circumstances our country is going through. These conditions require us to act with a living conscience that is deeply aware of the suffering and aspirations of our people.
The oil and minerals sector is the lifeblood of the national economy, and its proper functioning depends on the rule of law, absolute transparency, and leadership that places the interests of the people above all else. We aim to transform current challenges into opportunities for resource development, to eliminate the roots of corruption, and to safeguard the nation’s sovereign assets.
We place great reliance on the integration of efforts and on the generous and brotherly support of our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who continue to demonstrate at every stage their sincere commitment to standing by our country.
I pledge before God, then before the political leadership and the people of our nation, to carry out this responsibility with integrity and honesty, and to work in a spirit of teamwork to advance this vital sector in a manner worthy of the sacrifices and aspirations of our noble people.
